This gorgeous large wall tapestry features Jean , Count of Poitiers, who in 1360 became Duke of Berry. Jean de France was born in 1340. He was a son, brother and uncle to three kings of France. He was a notable patron of art and commissioned the most famous Book of Hours, the Très Riches Heures. His spending on his art collection severely taxed his estates, and he was deeply in debt when he died in 1416 at Paris. The Duke of Berry wall hanging tapestry is a reproduction of the original work, Falcon Hunt. Woven in Belgium, the tapestry features a beautiful color palette and intricate details. Duke of Berry large tapestry features a decorative border which enhances the main design. Perfect for hanging behind a sofa in the living room or as a focal point in an entrance way or anywhere else you would like to add interest and dimension to your home decor.
